Our proud history

Powell Forestry started trading in 1986. After 24 years working as a director of one of the largest forestry companies in the UK, Alan Powell founded his own forestry business.  The storm of 1987 presented the company with an excellent opportunity to establish itself as a leading forestry company in the south of England.  Powell Forestry has traded successfully ever since, becoming a partnership in 2012 when Neil Powell joined his father in the business.

In September 2019 the company joined forces with English Woodlands Forestry Limited and formed the Land & Forest group with Neil Powell as its CEO.   Having traded with EWFL it seemed a natural progression to combine the two companies and their expertise in providing woodland management advice, woodland management and timber marketing.
